Why Teach in China
China has the greatest demand for English teachers by far. There are currently over 400 million people learning English in China. That is almost 10 times the population of South Africa. There are also around 200 000 English teachers in China.
In comparison to European and Mideast countries, it is much easier to find an English teaching job in China. Chinese schools are very much willing to accept teachers with no previous teaching experiences.
Although the salary offered in China is not the highest on paper. However, if you take into account the low cost of living in China, you will find China offers one of the most comfortable lifestyles for English teachers.
